Monarch Art Trail - Watersound Parkway


Northwest Florida is a part of the migratory pattern of the Monarch butterfly, and every fall tens of thousands of Monarchs can be seen enjoying an abundance of native wildflowers that thrive throughout Walton County. Since 1992, The Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County (CAA) has celebrated this yearly natural event with The Flutterby Festival, an annual children’s arts and science event.

Sunset on the Beach

South Walton's Beach Access & Parking Updates

This upcoming fall and winter, construction will begin on three new parking areas and beach access points at Seagrove Beach; and extensive parking with public transit just north of Gulf Place. 

One of the new locations coming to Seagrove will be a Regional Access Point, which includes seasonal lifeguards, ADA-compliant boardwalk, restrooms, and parking -- making two Regional Access points for Seagrove Beach. (The other location is south of Santa Clara Ave.)

Yesterday in the news, according to NAR (National Assoc of Realtors);  June median home prices nationwide are up by 23.4% compared with the previous year.   But the first rule in real estate is LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION.  Trends in real estate markets are hyper-local.  So, to get a snapshot of what’s happening here along 30A we’ve pulled together some year-to-date trends to share.

In South Walton, specifically, homes located south of Highway 98 and along the 30A corridor are where we focused our info today.  The local median home price here increased this year by 42.5%.  The current median home price in the area is $1,255,000.
