CAA Announces Street Art Festival To Join Art Month Lineup

The Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County (CAA) is excited to announce its newest signature event, The South Walton Street Art Festival (SWSAF), will join this year’s Art Month South Walton schedule of May events. Artists, families, friends and school groups are invited to participate in this three-day festival that will take place in Grand Boulevard’s Town Center throughout Mother’s Day weekend, May 7th - 9th.

Monarch Trail - Art in Public Places

The Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County (CAA) is excited to announce a new public art project and is requesting proposals from artists or artist groups for the design, fabrication, and installation of small-scale or mid-scale permanent outdoor works of art along the planned Monarch Art Trail (MAT). Eight (8) pieces of work that are inspired by, representative of, or celebrating the natural environment of Northwest Florida and/or the migration of the Monarch butterfly through our region will be installed along a one-mile stretch of bike path that connects Highway 98 with Scenic Highway 30A.

As beautiful as our 30A beaches are, Mother Nature sometimes brings in high surf and rip tide conditions.  When these conditions occur then swimming and other water activities can be dangerous and sometimes life threatening! If you're  a visitor or new resident to South Walton and 30A  and you see DOUBLE RED FLAGS are flying at the beach access it is unsafe to get in the water. That means our beaches are open but the WATER is CLOSED to activities. and choosing to do so can put your life, those you love, life guards and first responders at risk.
