When you live along the Gulf Coast, hurricanes, and storms are simply a way of life. As communities both far and near, we always come together to help one another in a time of need. South Walton's Beach Access & Parking Updates

This upcoming fall and winter, construction will begin on three new parking areas and beach access points at Seagrove Beach; and extensive parking with public transit just north of Gulf Place. 

One of the new locations coming to Seagrove will be a Regional Access Point, which includes seasonal lifeguards, ADA-compliant boardwalk, restrooms, and parking -- making two Regional Access points for Seagrove Beach. (The other location is south of Santa Clara Ave.)

What's Happening with the 30A Real Estate Market

Yesterday in the news, according to NAR (National Assoc of Realtors);  June median home prices nationwide are up by 23.4% compared with the previous year.   But the first rule in real estate is LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION.  Trends in real estate markets are hyper-local.  So, to get a snapshot of what’s happening here along 30A we’ve pulled together some year-to-date trends to share.

In South Walton, specifically, homes located south of Highway 98 and along the 30A corridor are where we focused our info today.  The local median home price here increased this year by 42.5%.  The current median home price in the area is $1,255,000. DIY Coastal Dune Lakes Clean-Up Day in South Walton

When driving down Scenic 30A in South Walton Florida you’ll no doubt notice a series of lakes along the way.  This unique chain of 15 lakes which is found dotting the 19+ miles of our Northwest Florida coastal highway is not your ordinary lake! Where To Enjoy July 4th Festivites in South Walton

Rags to Riches Regatta    July 3      7 a.m.  at Grayton Beach

The Rags to Riches Regatta is a 40-year sailing tradition where 30A locals and visitors gather to cheer on teams as they navigate 16-foot catamarans in a race from Grayton Beach (originally known as the “rags” side of town) to Seagrove (also known as the “riches” neighborhood). Presented by Crater Train Brewing Company, The 30A Company, and Tribe Kelley Surf Post, the race will benefit South Walton Artificial Reef Association (SWARA) and their mission to protect and preserve our local marine resources.
