Buyers' Favorite Beach Towns On 30A

On this day last year, we shared the Top 30A Beach Towns that were the most popular with Buyers. One year later we decided to look at what the trends show now.

Drum roll please . . .

Coming in at first place again!

#1 Seagrove Beach

We think Seagrove Beach stays at the top of the list for a few reasons:

  • Diversity of selection among homes and condos -- from upscale, luxury, and modern to elegant, Old Florida and beach bungalow-style.
  • Seagrove is largely comprised of several small pockets of neighborhoods, many of which allow owners more freedom with design and fewer community restrictions.
  • Plenty of ways to get to the beach, with 22 neighborhood access points, one regional access at Santa Clara, and another regional access is underway across from Cafe 30A.
  • Close to Seaside and all the fun things to do including shopping, galleries, dining, and events.

#2 Blue Mountain Beach

Blue Mountain Beach encompasses about 2.5 miles of beachfront, including two of the area's unique coastal dune lakes, Draper Lake and Redfish Lakes. There are three regional beach access points and five neighborhood access points.  Blue Mountain is also surrounded by beautiful state forests, forever preserving a sense of unspoiled nature for those lucky enough to live there. Residents and vacationers don't have to wander far to experience an eclectic mix of shops, restaurants, and bakeries. To name just a few:

Shopping Gulf Place, Justin Gaffrey Gallery

Eateries Shunk Gully's, Redd's Fueling Station, Cafe Tango

Bakeries & Treats Blue Mountain Bakery, Blue Mountain Beach Creamery, Formula Fresh

#3 Inlet Beach

Edging out Watercolor this year for the #3 spot is Inlet Beach. Often called the most up-and-coming of areas along 30A because of recent commercial and residential growth. The official zip code for Inlet Beach (32461) includes the towns beginning at Prominence and stretching beyond 30A up to Lake Powell, right at the border of Walton & Bay Counties. One of the most anticipated features of this community is the underground pedestrian path currently being built that will allow residents and visitors access to the restaurants and shops at 30Avenue and safe passage to the beach. There is one regional beach access point and seven neighborhood access points.

It isn't hard to see why buyers constantly fall in love with ANY of the communities in South Walton/30A, which is precisely why our area consistently weathers so many ups and downs in the real estate market.

Below, we break down market numbers for the current Top 30A Beach Towns. If you like comparisons, check out the post we did last year on the Top 30A Beach Towns to see how far sales activity has come!
