One of South Walton’s favorite spring events is back on Saturday, April 18, 2026. The 2nd Annual Reeling in the Emerald Coast Conservation Day will be held at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park.

The park and Walton County 4-H are hosting this free, family-friendly event. It combines outdoor fun with hands-on learning, all set in one of the most beautiful spots along Scenic 30A.

The main event of the morning is the Kids Fishing Tournament, where young anglers can cast their lines and enjoy some friendly competition.

Besides fishing, families can check out interactive activity stations, meet local conservation experts, and learn about the unique ecosystems that make South Walton special. It’s a fun and simple way for kids and adults to connect with nature beyond the beach.

Topsail Hill Preserve is a true gem on the Emerald Coast. With its tall white quartz dunes and rare coastal dune lakes, the park has over 1,600 acres of protected land, more than 15 miles of trails, and 3.2 miles of peaceful, untouched shoreline.
