Monarch Art Trail - Watersound Parkway


Northwest Florida is a part of the migratory pattern of the Monarch butterfly, and every fall tens of thousands of Monarchs can be seen enjoying an abundance of native wildflowers that thrive throughout Walton County. Since 1992, The Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County (CAA) has celebrated this yearly natural event with The Flutterby Festival, an annual children’s arts and science event.  

As an addition to this year’s festivities, The CAA is proud to announce the opening of another Art in Public Spaces initiative - Monarch Art Trail (MAT).  An outdoor sculpture project was created with support from The St. Joe Community Foundation. The official opening of the Monarch Art Trail takes place Friday, November 12th from 4:00 - 7:00 pm and…

Watersound Origins

This year marks the 20th anniversary of Mountainfilm on tour and this year's local event is scheduled to be held on November 6 & 7. Local hosts and event sponsors at Watercolor have added two new twists for this year's attendees of the ever popular 30A Fall event. 

In order to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to safely see their extraordinary line-up of feature films, the festival is slated to be relocated to the Watersound Origins community.  By moving Mountainfilm on Tour, the event  attendees will experience an old fashioned drive-in style event this year.   Additional  online virtual viewing options which are being offered free of charge have also been added for those who prefer not to attend public events at this time.
