Old Seagrove Community Roadway and Drainage Improvements Project

Beach Update: Old Seagrove Community Roadway and Drainage Improvements Project

Update From Walton County, FL - The Old Seagrove Community Roadway and Drainage Improvements Project was initiated to address concerns from the community regarding the condition of the existing dirt roads, drainage, and the feasibility of pedestrian facilities. The County has conducted several community meetings to understand the community's concerns and discuss possible improvements for the area.

The current plan options presented include providing asphalt roadways, modifying some roadways as one-way while other roadways remain two-way (to minimize the impact of the existing trees within the right-of-way), improving drainage within the right-of-way, and the option of providing pedestrian facilities.

These documents were provided at the Old Seagrove Community Roadway and Drainage Improvements Project Open House hosted by Commissioner Tony Anderson on February 22, 2023. Please note two separate typical sections are provided for consideration: one includes pedestrian facilities, and the other does not.
