Last Call for the 30A / Scenic Walton License Plate (and It’s Actually Super Easy!)
Walton County friends—if you’ve been meaning to grab the 30A / Scenic Walton charity license plate, this is your friendly nudge. It might be the last chance to get one before it’s gone for good.
Here’s what’s happening: over 3,000 locals pre-ordered these tags to support Scenic Walton’s safety and beautification work. But not enough people have actually picked them up and put them on vehicles yet. If 3,000 plates aren’t on the road by December 31, the State will discontinue the plate. Translation: no more 30A tags—and Scenic Walton loses funding that helps keep Walton County looking great and functioning better.
And that funding adds up in a real way: Scenic Walton receives $25 per year for every plate on the road. It’s one of those “small move, big impact” things.
A few fun facts you’ll love:
- You can order the plate for pretty much anything registered in Florida: a regular vehicle, a golf cart, a low-speed vehicle, a trailer, or an RV.
- You can order it even if you’re not renewing your registration.
- It’s also quick and easy to order as a gift for someone who loves 30A as much as you do.
Why it matters:
Scenic Walton is behind some truly awesome improvements—like the pedestrian/cyclist underpass in Inlet Beach, multiple roadway landscaping projects, and its current push to help underground overhead utilities throughout the county. Basically: safer roads, prettier routes, and a more polished “welcome home” vibe.
Already have the plate? You’re good for 10 years. Don’t have it yet? If you want one, don’t wait—because after December 31, they’ll be retired forever… and yes, they’ll probably become those “only the real locals have one” collector’s items.
