Get Creative This Fall: New Classes at the Cultural Arts Alliance

Looking for something a little different to do in South Walton this fall? The Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County (CAA) has released its September creative lineup, with workshops and classes designed for everyone from complete beginners to experienced artists.

And there's plenty to choose from.

A Little Something for Everyone

September's calendar includes painting, pottery, photography, gardening and even a few seasonal projects. Some highlights include:

Printing with Sunlight: Cyanotype Workshops – Create beautiful blue-and-white prints using sunlight, plants and found objects in this beginner-friendly introduction to one of photography's oldest techniques.

Terrarium Garden Party – Build your own miniature living ecosystem while learning plant-care tips and enjoying light bites and refreshments.

Ceramic Ghosts & Witches – Get an early start on spooky season with hands-on ceramic workshops where you'll create your own Halloween pieces.

Cocktails & Clay: Pumpkin Workshop – Hand-build a custom ceramic pumpkin while enjoying a craft cocktail or mocktail and light bites.

Clay & Bouquet – A two-part experience combining ceramics and floral design. First, create a sea urchin-inspired vase, then return in October to fill it with your own fresh floral arrangement.

There's also Beginner Acrylics, Painting with Pastels, Live Figure Drawing, Come Play with Clay and more throughout the month.

Something for the Kids, Too

Parents might want to mark September 26 on the calendar for Creative Kids Night: Zootopia. Kids can create their own cardboard puppets, enjoy pizza and settle in for a movie and popcorn—all while parents get a few hours to themselves.
