Get ready to embrace the holiday spirit along 30A! As November and December roll in, it’s the perfect time to dive into the vibrant arts scene in our community. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County (CAA) has a whole slate of hands-on art classes, workshops, and community events for all ages.

Looking to create the perfect gift for your loved ones personally? One of these workshops may fit the bill!

  • Painting & Watercolor Workshops – Explore techniques from local and visiting artists, from beginner-friendly brushwork to more advanced studies in texture and color.
  • Pottery & Ceramics – Experience the satisfying rhythm of the potter’s wheel or try hand-building sculptural pieces in a laid-back studio setting.
  • Jewelry & Fiber Arts – Create wearable art through beadwork, metal, fabric, and design-focused projects.
  • Mixed Media & Creative Exploration – Combine materials, color, and imagination for one-of-a-kind art pieces.
  • Kids’ & Family Programs – From creative art nights to summer camps, these classes let younger artists explore their talents while having fun.

Every session is led by passionate instructors who make creativity approachable—no experience needed, just curiosity and a willingness to play.

Festivals & Events This Season

Flutterby Arts Festival

Sunday, November 9 • 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.  

The Flutterby Arts Festival celebrates 33 years as a cherished local tradition, combining art, nature, and community, all with a whimsical butterfly theme. Come and enjoy art activities, live performances, and a student art exhibition, as well as the ever-popular butterfly parade. This year's event will also include a Holiday Artist Market, where guests can shop for locally made art and unique gifts.

Bring the kids, bring your creativity, and join in this free celebration that honors imagination in all its forms.

First Friday Concert Series

Friday, November 7 • 6 – 8 p.m. 
Kick off the month with an evening of live music beneath the fall sky. The November concert will feature performances by singer-songwriters Alice Peacock and Charlie Mars, offering soulful sounds in a relaxed, family-friendly setting.

Holiday Art Bazaar & First Friday Concert

Friday, December 5 • Art Bazaar opens at 4 p.m. | Concert 6 – 8 p.m.

Just for the holidays, the CAA transforms Watersound® Town Center into a festive open-air market showcasing local artists, handmade gifts, and live music. The December concert will open with Martha’s Trouble, a folk/americano duo, followed by Shawn Mullins, a 30A Songwriters Festival favorite!

All events are held at The Pavilion at Watersound® Town Center (85 Origins Main St., Watersound, FL 32461) and are free to attend. Bring a low-back chair or blanket, a reusable water bottle, and a sense of curiosity as you enjoy South Walton’s creative spirit.
