There’s still plenty of fun to squeeze out of summer! And if you’re looking for something different, why not explore the surrounding areas off the sandy, beaten path of 30A? Here are a few hidden gems you just may not know about:
Defuniak Springs
The Main Street movement is hitting full force in the vibrant, small town of Defuniak Springs, about 30 miles north of 30A. There’s plenty to see and do:
- Weekend Farmers Market
- Music On Main
- Food Truck Friday (second Friday)
- Chautauqua Winery
On The Bay at Hwy 331
North Beach Social is serving up breakfast, lunch, and dinner right on the Choctawhatchee Bay in Santa Rosa Beach. Enjoy Paella night and live music; or take time for a leisurely stroll under the 331 Bridge at Thomas Pilcher Pier.
Farmer's Markets
You’ve probably been to the fantastic Farmer's Markets in Rosemary Beach and Seaside, but these other locations are equally great too!
West Panama City Beach
The Salt Shed Home & Garden offers a fresh and eclectic mixture of pots, plants, garden tools, soaps, candles, furniture, jewelry, rugs, and home décor. They also frequently feature other local businesses (beachyblooms30A, Sirmon Family Farm, Noli South Kombucha). Located east of Carillon Beach on the south side of 98.
Follow their Facebook & Instagram pages for upcoming Workshops and Farmer's Market details!
