Sinfonia Memorial Day Concert at Alys Beach Amphitheatre

This Memorial Day, the serene Alys Beach Amphitheatre will be filled with the stirring sounds of Sinfonia Gulf Coast, offering a tribute to those who have sacrificed for our nation. In a departure from traditional festivities, the 2024 concert will forego fireworks to maintain a tone of reverence and respect.

The decision comes as a direct response to community feedback, emphasizing a more subdued commemoration in honor of the fallen. This thoughtful adjustment aims to provide an atmosphere where attendees can truly reflect on the significance of the holiday while enjoying the exquisite orchestral performances under the sweeping palms.

Mark your calendar for the Sinfonia Memorial Day Concert on Sunday May 26! Enjoy the orchestral sounds of Sinfonia Gulf Coast under the palms trees in the Alys Amphitheatre. This event is free and open to the public.

South Walton Turtle Watch: Wild Sea Turtle Wednesday

May 29 - July 31 | 9AM - 11AM

Join South Walton Turtle Watch on Wednesday mornings for Wild Sea Turtle Wednesday at The Big Chill 30A from 9 AM - 11 AM. Learn about sea turtles, paint, adopt a hatchling and take the Jr. Ocean Ranger pledge to help keep our beaches clean, dark and flat for nesting sea turtles and baby hatchlings. The event is free and open to the public. 

The South Walton Turtle Watch is a group of volunteers whose purpose is to locate endangered and threatened sea turtle nests and to protect them along the beaches of NW Florida during the crucial nesting and hatching season.
