An Insider’s Peek Into The Current 30A Real Estate Market
We know it feels busy in our market right now with a definite increase in buyer interest and more home showings, But simply “feeling” busy does not give us a true picture of the reality of our real estate market along 30A. So, we took a look back at last week’s activity to see what took place to see if how we are feeling about the market matches what is actually happening.
We only looked at Single Family homes, located along 30A’s Scenic Highway + Watersound Origins and here is a glimpse into what took place in the local market during the week of August 12th – 18tr in South Walton Florida!
To give a more accurate picture into what is happening here at the beach we also compared Year-to- Date activity VS 2019 Year-to-Date activity. The graph below paints a pretty dramatic picture that validates not only what we are feeling but the data confirms the reality of what is actually happening in the market as well.
In 2019 the average sale price for homes located along 30A was $1,172,000. In 2020 that number jumped by 20% to $1,404,000. While we do not have a crystal ball to predict how long the current up-swing will last; for the near term, many of the market indicators for South Walton Single Family Homes are pointing in a positive direction. Buyer interest continues and property values are up, with fewer properties currently available for purchase in our area.
