Tourism is one of the major industries driving the economy in South Walton County Florida. Vacation property owners, rental companies, restaurants, and small businesses rely heavily on visitors who come to relax, spend time with family and friends and enjoy the beauty of Northwest Florida. The real estate market in South Walton and along 30A is extremely active right now. And, well priced properties that are in “sale ready” condition typically go under contract and are selling more quickly than previous recent years. A recent market study we did revealed that:

  • 41%    of the homes that sold this year, went under contract and closed in 45 days or less.
  • 35%    more properties have sold year to date as compared to the same time last year.
  • 20%    average sales prices increase over  2019  year-to-date sales.

An Insider’s Peek Into The Current 30A Real Estate Market

We know it feels busy in our market right now with a definite increase in buyer interest and more home showings,  But simply “feeling” busy does not give us a true picture of the reality of our real estate market along 30A. So, we took a look back at last week’s activity to see what took place to see if how we are feeling about the market matches what is actually happening.
