Can you believe we just finished up the third quarter of this year? Not sure where time has gone; but it’s definitely been busy for South Walton real estate sales along the beaches of 30A. To give a sense of what’s been happening through the end of September, we'll break down some of the numbers for you.

We started with Watercolor, Florida then headed east; covering all the major neighborhoods through to Rosemary Beach. Here’s how the numbers stacked up.

Things are Looking Up in South Walton County

It’s interesting that while Seaside ranked fourth during the last sales period; their average cost per square foot at $917.64 tops the list. There are several reasons why we believe this happens and here are a few that stand out for us. Seaside, Florida is a well-established, widely known New Urbanist community offering highly desirable gulf frontage. It also has a vibrant, popular and very successful commercial town center. There are less than 300 homes in the community and available properties don’t come up as often compared to other neighborhoods.

As we transition toward the end of a very active real estate year for South Walton it will be most interesting to see the market numbers for all of 2015. If sales activity for Davis Properties is any indicator for the whole 30A real estate market; then the area is definitely on track for a banner year for sales, market activity and increased property values…
