There’s a saying that I’m sure you’ve heard before: "You only get one chance to make a first impression.". Successful homeowners who prepare their property to sell using this adage will typically find that they have greater success in getting to the closing table over those who didn’t prepared in advance. Why is that? It’s a simple matter of taking time to get ready to make a good first impression. Another advantage to putting “your best foot forward” by preparing your home for the market goes a long way toward helping to insure the selling process goes more smoothly for both yourself AND your buyer.
I like to work with my sellers to help them see their home “through the eyes of the buyers” during the pre-market period. The next step is to create a game plan enabling them to be proactive and not reactive.
There are a lot of things to think about when it’s time to sell your home; so, to assist with this preparation, I’ve created a PRE-SALE CHECK LIST to help guide you through this phase of the process.
Following are a few items from the list to get you started:
√ Take time to fix the “little” things
√ Create great curb appeal
√ Clean out the clutter (we all have it ! )
√ Update using “Smart Technology” (i.e. Nest thermostats, Ring doorbell, USB port electrical outlets)
√ Professional deep clean
My PRE-SALE CHECKLIST helps sellers understand many of the steps that can be pre-actively taken to get a property pro-actively ready for sale.
